Shift Manager for the Summer Season – Café Kasinonranta, Lauttasaari

We are looking for a Shift Manager for Café Kasinonranta for the upcoming summer season. Our season begins in spring and continues through autumn. We offer the possibility of a tailored employment contract based on the length of the season and your preferences.

Kasinonranta is a lively seaside summer destination combining high-quality café operations, licensed beverages, and a variety of events. You will work in an energetic environment where every day is slightly different and weather conditions directly impact operations.

As a Shift Manager, you are responsible for

​

• Leading and ensuring the smooth operation of the shift

• Staffing, break scheduling, and organizing the workflow

• Guiding and motivating the team by example

• Placing orders and handling reporting

• Delivering a seamless customer experience, even during busy periods

• Executing events and managing different service concepts

• Participating in hands-on service work when needed

In this role, you are the person in charge of the shift and the primary support for your team.

​

We expect from you

​

• At least 1 year of experience in a supervisory role in the restaurant industry

• Experience managing shifts independently

• A firm yet inspiring leadership style

• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Strong organizational skills and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset

• Excellent customer service attitude and strong interpersonal skills

• Solid knowledge of specialty coffees and basic alcoholic beverages

• Willingness to participate in hands-on service work

• Experience in executing events and managing larger service entities

• Flexibility with shifts, as our operations adapt to weather conditions

• Fluency in Finnish and English

• Valid hygiene passport and alcohol serving license

• A positive and energetic “can do” attitude
